Embrace the Technology, it isn't going away

When it comes to technology, do you ever feel like you just want to stick your head in the sand and pray that it will just go away? Do words like SEO, iPads, Social Media, QR Codes, Tweeting and Blogging leave you in a cold sweat? Technology today can be confusing and overwhelming! But, the truth is, it isn't going away! So - if you want to remain successful and competitive in business, it's time to Embrace the Technology!

Here are a couple of simple tips to get you started:

1. Start Slowly - Don't try to tackle the world of technology in one week! Rome wasn't conquered in a day, and neither is technology.

2. Get Support - There are numerous workshops and classes available today to help you learn these new technologies. Apple offers free training to all its customers!

3. Do the Research- One way to simplify technology is to realize you don't need to be an expert in everything. Do some research to determine what will work best for you and then focus on that.

4. Spend time with your kids - If all else fails, and you still feel frustrated and overwhelmed, spend about 1 hour with your kids and tell yourself 'if an 8 year old can master technology, so can I!' It's never too late to teach an old dog new tricks!

5. Make it FUN - It is possible to have fun with technology! There are so many cool and innovative products, services and applications out there! Look at learning new technology as an adventure!
